Overview
As Lead Software Engineer for Customer Identity Solutions, you will own the technical direction of our identity platform to support global growth. You will stay hands-on, review architecture, and challenge build decisions while collaborating with vendors who perform most of the delivery. You’ll ensure security, quality, and architectural standards are upheld across front-end, back-end, cloud, and CI/CD. This role is pivotal to our digital transformation and scale, with a focus on delivering a robust identity experience for diverse brands. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to align technical delivery with business goals and report on performance and risk.
Responsibilities- Define and own the technical direction and architecture of the customer identity platform
- Manage and hold third-party engineering partners to account for delivery quality and timelines
- Stayhands-on across front-end, back-end, cloud, and CI/CD to review and scrutinize code
- Act as guardian of the codebase ensuring security and architectural standards are met by vendor output
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise initiatives and align delivery with business goals
- Report platform performance, delivery progress, and technical risk
- Full-stack engineering background across the SDLC
- Strong experience with React (front end)
- Back-end experience with Java Spring Boot; comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript for back end
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms and CI/CD/DevOps pipelines
- Proven ability to oversee third-party engineering vendors/partners
- Identity and access management experience is a plus
- Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge delivery partners
