Overview

In this role you will service and calibrate Fronius welding equipment, troubleshoot customer issues, and support the introduction of new products. You’ll work closely with customers and the sales team, providing technical and after-sales assistance. The role combines field service with remote support and requires travel within the UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas. You help ensure equipment performance and customer success through hands-on repair, testing, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities
  • Repair of Fronius welding equipment including inverters, torches, hose packs, and automated systems
  • Providing support to customers and troubleshooting
  • Providing service and calibration of welding equipment
  • Safety test and weld test after repair and servicing
  • Providing technical support for the introduction of new products/systems/processes into the market
  • Providing email and telephone support for technical and welding queries/problems
  • Providing pre-sales and after-sales support to the sales team and customers
  • Providing support to demonstrations of welding equipment
  • Assisting with events (trade fairs, seminars, etc.)
  • Assisting with stock control
Key requirements
  • Technical experience preferably on technical support of electrical equipment
  • Electrical engineering qualification
  • IT skills including Microsoft office suite (Excel & Word)
  • Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG and MIG/MAG welding processes will be an advantage
  • Sales minded/ good customer communication skills
  • Good communication skills and knowledge transfer abilities
  • Team worker
  • Flexibility (working hours and tasks arranged to suit customer requirements)
  • Customer orientated attitude with professional approach to clients
  • Language: Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • German would be an advantage but not essential
