Job title: Technical Analyst

Reporting to: Head of IT Delivery

Responsible for: Continuous improvement of our business applications, managing application releases and environments

Based at: Hybrid flexible with travel to London as required

Scope: Support of our business landscape

We are looking for a technical analystin supporting ourbusiness applicationtechnology environments, managing application releases, administering business-critical applications, maintaining system data integrity, and driving resolution.To help bridgethe gap between technical operations and business needs,staying abreast of emerging technologies to enhance technical capabilities.This is ahighlyvisible role requiring a strong, independent individual who can proactively build relationships across the organisation, challenge constructively, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Business Relationship Management & Continuous Improvement

• Develop trusted relationships with business stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for application-related requirements, issues, and opportunities.

• Build a deep understanding of business processes, objectives, and challenges to identify opportunities for technology-enabled improvement.

• Translate business needs into technical requirements and work with delivery teams, suppliers, and support partners to implement effective solutions.

• Champion the adoption of application features and functionality that improve business performance, efficiency, and user experience, including the promotion of inbuilt AI features to ensure productivity gains.

• Building a product roadmapwith the business and prioritising the work that meets the business need.
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and support business process reviews to ensure technology solutions continue to meet evolving needs.

• Act as the bridge between business functions and technical support teams, ensuring priorities are understood and delivered effectively.

• Provide regular insights and recommendations to stakeholders on application usage, optimisation opportunities, and emerging risks.

Environment Support & Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain development, test, and production environments.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.

• Troubleshootenvironment-related issues and coordinate resolutionwith support vendors.

• Maintain application support documentation and operational procedures.

Release Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute application releases across environmentsunder change management.

• Maintain releaseschedulesand ensure alignment with business prioritiesand critical operational periods.

• Document release notes and manage deployment risksand communication with stakeholders.

• Creation and usage of test scripts to ensure new functionality meets requirements

• Work with business representatives to coordinate user acceptance testing and sign-off activities.

Business Application Administration

• Serve as the primary administrator for key business applications.

• Work with business teams to identify where additional value can be realised from greater or more enhanced application usage

• Work withAsset Manager, stakeholder and business owners to ensure licensing costs and usage are optimised

• Configure, update, and optimize application settings based on user needs.

• Coordinate supplier support activities and ensure service issues are resolved effectively.

• Provide userguidance, training andsupport as required.

System Data Management

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems.

• Perform regular audits and data cleansing activities.

• Support integration and migration efforts between platforms.

• Introduce controls tosafe guarddata entryand produce a positive impact on reporting

Backlog Management

• Maintain and prioritiseapplication enhancement, supportandtechnicalbacklogs.

• Work with stakeholders to define requirements, business benefitsand acceptance criteria.

• Track progress and ensure timely delivery of backlog items.

Information Security

• Work with the infrastructure Teams to ensure backup and recovery is planned and tested

• Ensuredataretention rules are applied both within the systems and backup locations

• Ensureuseraccess isgovernedappropriatelythroughrole basedaccess controlsand sensitive data is obfuscated when in non-production environments

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical analyst orbusiness application analystrole.

• Experience with SaaS applications and administration

• Strong understanding of release cycles, environment management, and application administration.

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills

• Experience managing third-party suppliers and support partners.

• Experience supporting integrations, APIs, and data migration activities

• Familiarity withITIL practicesand Agile methodologies.

• Experience with tools such asJira, ServiceNow.

• Knowledge ofHTML,Python,SQL, scripting, or basic programming is a plus.

• Goodanalytical skillsand attention to detail.

• Proactive, with strong problem-solving skillsanddetail orientedapproach.

• Team player, able to collaborateconfidentlywith both technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently,prioritiseworkload, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.

• Understanding of data governance, security, and application compliance requirements.

• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and project needs

• Possess the ability toimmerse themselves in new technologies and applications
