Role: Junior Solutions Architect

Rate: £500-£550/day inside IR35 (via Umbrella)

Location: London (twice/week onsite)

Start date: Mid-September

Duration: 3-month initial contract (scope for extension)


We are looking for a Junior Solutions Architect to join a consulting team working on the mobilisation of a shared capability/platform. The focus of this will be two-fold:

  1. Driving standardisation and set-up of technology capability (defining standards, patterns etc.)
  2. Helping to build out the architecture and supporting documentation for the platform.


This role will suit candidates with a foundation in technology who are looking to develop and progress their career in Solution Architecture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Shape definition of the platform architecture, working on design decisions, technical standards and integration patterns
  • Drive standardisation and set up of the capability model from a technical perspective, helping to make the existing foundations reusable so that users can ‘shop’ for technology services when they need them
  • Own solution and design principles for the underlying services on offer
  • Help build out architecture documentation of the platform as it scales


Experience & Skills:

  • Solution Architecture experience, comfortable moving between governance and solution design
  • Experience defining and designing reusable capabilities and services
  • Ability to define technical standards, integration patterns and design principles
  • Ability to work across business and technical stakeholder domains to understand business requirements and translate into technical designs and build (inputting into development teams)
