Technical Architect Director

In this role you will lead the architectural strategy for client solutions within Mastercard's Payments Networks tech group. You will drive scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures in collaboration with Product Management, Clients, and Architecture teams. You’ll mentor the Client Solutions Architects and steer technology roadmaps and innovation across Real Time Payments and Value-Added Services. This position offers impact by shaping solutions that enable growth and competitive advantage in a global payments ecosystem.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the Client Solutions Architecture function and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing client solutions.
- Lead and develop the Client Solutions Architects team, including performance management and talent development.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Clients, and stakeholders to define and deliver solution roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a senior SME for client solutions and guide technical direction across teams.
- Drive client technology roadmaps with product management and engineering stakeholders.
- Lead innovation efforts in Real Time Payments and Value-Added Services to identify opportunities and develop new capabilities.
- Represent architecture expertise to senior executives, customers, and delivery teams.
- Extensive experience in a technical role for a commercial software product organization or ISV.
- Proven leadership of system architecture for large-scale distributed systems with scalable, secure, resilient outcomes.
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
- Hands-on software engineering background in application or database domains.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and translate them into business value.
- Experience in leading architecture teams and fostering technical excellence; payments industry experience preferred.
