As IT Technical Authority, you will provide strategic technical leadership across infrastructure and network services, acting as the final escalation point for complex decisions to ensure secure, resilient platforms. You will collaborate with engineering teams, service delivery, and customers to align technology choices with long-term organizational goals. You’ll shape roadmaps, govern change, and drive engineering excellence with a secure-by-design mindset. This role offers high-impact influence across critical systems in a security-sensitive environment.

- Provide expert oversight and approval of infrastructure, network, and platform designs
- Challenge and assure technical decisions to ensure security, supportability, and standards
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for high-impact issues
- Ensure documentation, architecture, and change records meet quality and compliance expectations
- Offer strategic direction across infrastructure and network domains, tracking performance, risk, and lifecycle health
- Lead and mentor network and infrastructure engineers, promoting strong engineering principles
- Support prioritisation of workloads, projects, and operational improvements
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps
- Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities to improve resilience, scalability, or efficiency
- Lead change management efforts, assess and mitigate risks, and drive governance improvements
- Capture technical lessons learned and embed them into practice
- Lead root-cause analysis and remediation for recurring incidents
- Work with teams to reduce technical debt and boost platform stability
- Drive proactive risk reduction across infrastructure and networks
- Engage with customers, partners, and suppliers to ensure alignment with standards
- Represent the organization in technical governance forums
- Mentor engineers, identify skills gaps, and shape training plans
- Promote secure-by-design practices and high-quality documentation
- Strong background in infrastructure, networks, or platform engineering in a complex environment
- Experience as a senior technical escalation point or authority
- Deep understanding of change, incident, and problem management processes
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable explanations
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
