Technical Business Analyst

As a Technical Business Analyst at Anson McCade in Newcastle, you bridge business challenges with technical delivery across complex digital transformation projects. You will collaborate with Product Owners, developers, testers and architects to translate needs into clear requirements and design artifacts. You’ll facilitate workshops, support agile rituals, and validate requirements through data analysis and testing activities. • Gather, analyse and document complex business and technical requirements
• Translate needs into user stories, functional requirements and technical specs
• Create process flows, business rules and supporting documentation
• Conduct AS-IS / TO-BE analysis and assess impact of changes
• Collaborate with technical teams across the full SDLC
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements elicitation sessions
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies
• Use SQL and data analysis to validate requirements and identify trends
• Support testing activities, including reviewing test scripts, defect triage and UAT
• Identify technical constraints, risks and dependencies
• Support business change, implementation and operational readiness activities
• Work with Solution and Technical Architects to shape solutions

• 1.5–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in software delivery, technology, consulting or digital transformation contexts
• Experience with requirements gathering, user stories and functional requirements
• Stakeholder management and workshop facilitation
• Business process mapping and modelling
• SQL and data analysis
• Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
• JIRA and Confluence
• UML and/or BPMN
• UAT and software testing
• APIs, databases and system integration concepts
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Salesforce, GenAI or other enterprise platforms advantageous
