Technical Business Analyst (Network)

In this role you will bridge business needs and technical solutions within Megaport's Network Automation team. You’ll lead discovery, document requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for engineers. You will own the backlog, collaborate with engineers, and drive agile refinement to align outcomes across the organisation. You will help improve processes and ensure clear communication across the full development lifecycle. This role supports Megaport's mission to enable seamless cloud connectivity and automation.

- Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to capture and document service automation and system requirements
- Visualise complex concepts through technical designs, service workflows, system requirements and business processes
- Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications bridging business and engineering
- Own and prioritise the team's backlog of user stories
- Collaborate with engineers to refine product requirements
- Facilitate agile refinement sessions across diverse teams
- Continuously improve processes to optimise collaboration between business and engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis or a closely related technical role
- Proven ability to define and validate effective solutions with stakeholders
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking for dissecting business problems
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Solid experience applying Agile principles in software teams
- Practical experience with APIs, web services, and web-based software projects
- Understanding of networking concepts (beneficial)
