Technical Business Analyst xVA Technology

Analyze derivative technology requirements in Toronto with Scotiabank’s xVA Technology team, using data modeling and software development lifecycle knowledge. Support global markets technology solutions.

This Business Analyst position supports Front Office, Middle Office, and Regulatory clients within Global Banking & Markets Engineering. You will collaborate with business users, product teams, managers, and technology teams. The work includes translating requirements into functional specifications, modernizing legacy applications, and analyzing data for recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, and objectives
• Translate business requirements into actionable plans and functional specifications
• Drive legacy application modernization and solution harmonization
• Analyze data, identify trends, and recommend data-driven actions
• Support multiple projects and production issues when required

Requirements:

• One to three or more years in financial or information technology industries
• Knowledge of system design, data modeling, and software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, evaluation, and recommendation skills
• Knowledge of derivative instruments, pricing theories, and trade lifecycles
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Visio
