Technical Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

An established ERP solutions business is looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Technical Consultant to lead the technical delivery of enterprise customer projects.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on technical specialist with strong Dynamics NAV, Business Central and AL development experience to work across a varied project portfolio, influence technical solutions and build lasting customer relationships.

What will you be doing?

• Leading Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, upgrades and migrations.


• Developing and supporting AL extensions using Visual Studio Code.


• Managing data migration, SQL Server troubleshooting and system integrations.


• Working with APIs, web services, Continia and third-party solutions.


• Supporting Microsoft 365, Power BI, Azure and related technologies.


• Producing technical designs, estimates and implementation documentation.


• Managing technical risks, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.


• Collaborating with functional consultants, developers and project managers.


• Building trusted relationships with customers and providing technical guidance.

What experience is needed?

• Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central technical consultancy experience.


• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and NAV-to-Business Central migrations.


• Hands-on AL development, Visual Studio Code and extensions.


• SQL Server, APIs, web services and data migration expertise.


• Experience delivering ERP implementations, upgrades and integrations.


• Strong technical problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.


• Experience in a consultancy or Professional Services environment.


• A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Experience with Continia, Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, RapidStart and XML Ports would be beneficial.

Package and next steps

Basic salary up to £75,000 plus £4,000 commission , alongside the opportunity to take ownership of challenging ERP projects and develop within an established technology business.
