Overview

In this role, you will develop and manage high-quality maintenance publications for advanced landing gear systems, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. You’ll collaborate with engineering, programme, and customer teams to support entry into service and ongoing maintenance needs. The position offers exposure to S1000D and digital IETP initiatives within a global aerospace environment. You will help drive continuous improvement and maintain on-time delivery in a complex, mission-critical domain.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage technical publications (CMMs, Service Bulletins, ICA) across the full lifecycle
  • Interpret engineering drawings and test data to produce accurate, compliant documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering, programme, and customer teams to support entry into service (EIS)
  • Plan and manage work packages, schedules, and resources to meet programme objectives
  • Act as a key interface for customers, MROs, and suppliers
  • Ensure documentation quality, compliance, and on-time delivery
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation, including S1000D and digital/IETP initiatives
Key requirements
  • Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in aerospace technical publications and documentation (CMMs, SBs)
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (landing gear experience advantageous)
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering data and producing compliant documentation (ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, ASD-STE100)
  • Experience with technical authoring tools (FrameMaker, Arbortext, IsoDraw) and SGML/XML
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing technical documentation projects within an engineering or MRO environment
