- Lead technical planning, estimation, and delivery to meet scope, timelines, and quality
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams promoting excellence and continuous improvement
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle with effective solutions
- Ensure high-quality, scalable solutions through coding standards, reviews, and testing strategies
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders; translate business needs into specs
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess applicability to insurance solutions
- Oversee deployment, integration, performance, and operational readiness including monitoring requirements
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate technical resources effectively
- Deep expertise in Technology & Transformation within the insurance sector
- Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale technology transformation programmes
- Strong knowledge of technology strategy including digital transformation and cloud adoption
- Excellent communication and business writing skills with stakeholders up to C-suite
- Expert in leading Agile/SAFe programmes with DevOps and CI/CD
- Experience mentoring technical teams across the software lifecycle
- Proven ability to make critical technical decisions in high-pressure environments
- Practical experience with modern programming languages and development tools
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
- Commitment to code quality, testing best practices, and security in development
