Overview

In this role you drive the design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centres across Europe. You lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality design outputs on fast-paced projects. You’ll engage across the project lifecycle, address risks, and support governance with the Sector and Commercial teams. The position combines hands-on delivery with opportunities for career progression in a global, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Fire Protection, ICT, BMS/EPMS) across UKI and Europe
  • Oversee all project phases from due diligence to construction documentation
  • Ensure timely, high-quality design outputs meeting client requirements and timelines
  • Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions
  • Support commercial governance and risk mitigation with Sector and Commercial teams
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships and interface with Client CAM
  • Present to clients and stakeholders to ensure delivery of outputs
  • Collaborate with design and local delivery teams for localisation and permitting compliance
  • Respond to client requirements in a timely manner
Key requirements
  • Chartered Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • Extensive experience in data centre design and/or project management
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on complex data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel as required
