Technical Design Lead- Data Centres

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centre projects across Europe. You will manage multi-disciplinary design teams and maintain strong client relationships to ensure timely, high-quality outputs. The position blends hands-on design work with leadership, travel across UKI and Europe, and interaction with global clients. You will help mitigate risks, ensure permitting and regulatory compliance, and contribute to project governance and commercial oversight. This is a client-facing, high-impact role in a fast-paced, global infrastructure team.

• Lead multi-disciplinary design teams across Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Fire Protection, ICT, BMS/EPMS
• Oversee all project phases from due diligence to construction documentation
• Ensure timely, high-quality design outputs meeting client needs and timelines
• Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions
• Support commercial governance and risk mitigation for sector and commercial teams
• Maintain trusted client relationships and interface with Client CAM
• Present to clients and stakeholders to secure delivery outputs
• Collaborate with design and delivery teams to ensure localisation and permitting compliance
• Respond to client requirements in a timely manner

• Chartered Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification)
• Extensive experience in data centre design and/or project management
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams on complex data centre projects
• Strong understanding of permitting, building systems, regulations, and construction methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel as required
