As Technical Design Lead, you will steer the design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centre projects across Europe. You’ll manage multidisciplinary design teams and maintain strong client relationships to ensure timely, high-quality outputs. This client-facing, hands-on role involves travel, risk mitigation, and collaboration with commercial and delivery teams to align design with project goals. You will shape technical solutions that underpin high-performing data centres in a fast-paced environment.

- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across UKI and Europe (Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Fire Protection, ICT, BMS/EPMS)
- Oversee all project phases from due diligence to construction documentation
- Ensure timely, high-quality design outputs meeting client requirements and timelines
- Identify and mitigate risks with innovative, practical solutions
- Support Sector and Commercial teams on governance, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships and interface with Client CAM
- Present to clients and stakeholders and ensure delivery quality
- Collaborate with design and delivery teams to ensure localisation and permitting compliance
- Respond to client requirements in a timely manner
- Chartered Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Extensive experience in data centre design and/or project management
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams on complex data centre projects
- Strong understanding of permitting, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel as required
