Technical Director (DC CA lead)

In this Mechanical Director role, you lead delivery for data centre projects and shape the sector’s growth across EMEA. You’ll head a multidisciplinary CA team and collaborate with global colleagues to win work and drive technical excellence. You will manage design and construction interfaces, ensuring consistent delivery across projects and clients. Your leadership helps clients in hyperscale and co-location environments achieve their goals while advancing AECOM’s market position. This is a strategic role with a focus on thought leadership and cross‑border execution.

• Lead and grow the Data Centre CA team across multiple disciplines
• Oversee CA Services including Architecture, Structural, Civil, etc. and LEED
• Provide Principle Designer/Responsible Designer services during construction
• Coordinate multi-discipline site teams with office design support
• Manage design services during construction to accommodate changes
• Maintain a consistent approach across projects despite different GCs/clients
• Drive work winning and business development for MEP solutions in DC sector
• Provide programme management and financial oversight for major projects
• Monitor project risk and develop mitigation strategies
• Deliver seamless, on-time MEchanical services across the region
• Engage with clients to understand their business and adapt to market changes

• Strong track record in delivering Mechanical or Electrical projects for Data Centres and Mission Critical environments
• Experience leading DC project work streams in UK, with preference for EMEA exposure
• Demonstrated client-facing and work-winning capabilities
• Excellent team leadership and development skills
• Deep knowledge of mechanical or electrical design for Data Centres and client interfaces
• Strong commercial acumen and project financial management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
