Technical Director (DC CA lead)

As Mechanical Director in AECOM’s Data Centre sector you will lead a growing CA team across the UK with global coordination. You drive multidisciplinary engineering delivery, client management, and work-winning efforts to strengthen our position in hyperscale and co-location markets. You’ll shape project delivery standards, interface with AHJs and GCs, and promote cross-functional collaboration. • Lead and develop the Data Centre CA team across disciplines
• Monitor CA services delivery for multi-discipline projects (Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
• Provide Principle Designer/Responsible Designer services during construction and interface with AHJs and GCs
• Coordinate site-based multi-disciplinary teams with office design support
• Manage design services through construction with client-driven changes
• Ensure consistent approach across projects and full, on-time deliverables
• Engage in Work Winning and Business Development to leverage opportunities
• Provide programme management and commercial oversight for major projects
• Monitor project risk and KPIs, supporting issue resolution
• Deliver seamless Mechanical services across the region in partnership with clients

• Strong background in Mechanical or Electrical project delivery for Data Centres and Mission Critical environments
• Proven leadership of DC project streams in UK, with experience across EMEA preferred
• Demonstrated client-facing and work-winning capabilities
• Excellent team leadership and development ability
• Detailed knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical design for Data Centres and client interfaces
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing project financials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good financial understanding to ensure project success
