Technical Director - Liveable Places

As Technical Director in WSP’s Liveable Places, you will lead a broad portfolio of transport, public realm and place making schemes from concept through delivery. You’ll help grow the Liveable Places offering across the Midlands and North of England, working with local authorities and private clients. You’ll act as Project Director on diverse projects, shaping strategy, managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering high-impact infrastructure and urban environments. This role offers a chance to influence regional growth and collaborate with a wide expert network.

• Lead delivery of schemes from concept to delivery in areas like public realm, active travel, traffic engineering, road safety, parking, traffic signals and pedestrian/traffic modelling
• Grow and develop the Liveable Places offering in the region, focusing on new business while servicing existing clients
• Act as Project Director for Transport, Parking and Public Realm projects
• Collaborate with the Liveable Places team and broader WSP colleagues to achieve shared objectives
• Support leadership in expanding the team and capabilities within Liveable Places

• Civil engineering, landscape architecture or transport planning background
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body
• Significant experience delivering multi-disciplinary schemes across the project lifecycle
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams
• Proven experience managing significant client accounts with public and local authority clients
