Overview

As Technical Director, you own the technical delivery across multi-platform OTT streaming projects, balancing architecture decisions with client-facing leadership. You guide multi-disciplinary teams from estimation through delivery and post-launch iteration, ensuring code quality and predictable outcomes. You work closely with clients and internal teams to align technical strategy with product goals. This role offers the chance to shape scalable platforms for live and on-demand sport, film, and news experiences at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own technical delivery across multi-platform projects (web, .NET/C#, mobile) from architecture to post-launch iteration
  • Lead architectural decisions and drive requirements gathering and estimation
  • Mentor and upskill teams through code reviews and technical guidance
  • Maintain documentation, solution architectures, and technical specifications
  • Balance hands-on work with leadership to sustain engineering standards and delivery predictability
  • Manage external and internal stakeholders, including clients and product teams
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Enforce Agile delivery practices and ensure quality across projects
Key requirements
  • Proven leadership delivering large-scale, multi-month projects in OTT, digital agency, or product-based contexts
  • Full-stack fluency: web front-end (React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), .NET/C#, native Android, native iOS
  • Deep expertise in at least one mobile stack (Android or iOS)
  • Experience with digital media platforms architecture and trade-offs across delivery layers
  • Requirements gathering, refinement, and complex multi-stream estimation
  • Stakeholder management with clients and internal teams
  • Mentoring and upskilling via code reviews and technical guidance
  • Hands-on CI/CD setup and maintenance
  • Active Agile delivery experience and strong documentation discipline
