Overview
As a Technical Documentation Engineer, you will develop and deliver high-quality technical material drawn from design drawings, LSAR outputs, and OEM manuals. You will work with engineering, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure timely, compliant outputs managed in CSDB and delivered as Interactive Electronic Technical Publications. You’ll contribute across the documentation lifecycle with governance, accuracy, and configuration control. This role supports Royal Navy platforms and the wider Defence sector, offering meaningful impact and opportunities to grow your specialist skills.

- Produce coherent and consistent Technical Data and Documentation
- Follow Technical Documentation Management Plans
- Identify stakeholders and contract deliverables; liaise across functions
- Understand and apply current military and commercial standards
- Apply Technical Publications Business Management procedures
- Comply with regulatory requirements including SHE and ITAR
- Maintain configuration control and coordinate with Engineering
- Support customer requests and seek support as needed
- HNC qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of DEF STAN 00-600, JSP 886, S1000D and JSP 822
- Good understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and through-life support requirements
