Advance HE is looking for a Technical Integration Engineer to help shape and evolve its technology landscape, designing and delivering the integrations, APIs and automated workflows that connect its digital ecosystem.

This is an opportunity to work with a varied, modern technology stack, including Microsoft Azure, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 CRM, Business Central, Power Automate, Entra ID and a diverse range of SaaS platforms, while having the autonomy to identify opportunities for greater automation, reliability and efficiency.

The Opportunity

As Technical Integration Engineer, you'll take a leading role in connecting Advance HE's core systems and creating secure, scalable and reliable data flows across the organisation.

You'll design and maintain integrations across platforms including Dataverse, D365 CRM, Business Central and customer portals, alongside SaaS solutions such as OpenWater, SurveyMonkey Apply, Moodle, Halo, Connect and Accredible.

From developing APIs and event-driven integrations to implementing SSO, automating workflows and improving system performance, you'll have the opportunity to solve interesting technical problems and deliver solutions that make a genuine difference to both colleagues and customers.

As our Technical Integration Engineer you will:

• Design, build and maintain API integrations between core business platforms and third-party systems.
• Develop reliable REST-based and event-driven integrations, ensuring consistent and secure data flows.
• Support SSO and identity integrations using Microsoft Entra ID and Entra External ID.
• Lead technical integrations across a diverse ecosystem of SaaS platforms.
• Create automated workflows that reduce manual processes and improve efficiency and user experience.
• Use Power Automate, Azure and other integration technologies to strengthen system connectivity.
• Integrate finance and business systems to support accurate reporting, forecasting and decision-making.
• Establish integration standards, documentation and best practice to ensure solutions remain secure, compliant and scalable.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, platform performance and reliability.

What We're Looking For

You'll bring hands-on experience of API development, system integration and designing robust technical solutions, together with the ability to see the bigger picture when connecting multiple platforms.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services and data exchange patterns.
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms and complex business systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based integration services.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies including Entra ID, SSO, SAML and OAuth.
• A good understanding of integration security, authentication and data protection.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• The ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• A relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with Power Automate or (url removed), CRM integrations or Agile delivery environments would be particularly advantageous.
