We are looking for a seasoned technical professional with 8+ years of experience to conduct technical interviews and assess senior Java developers across multiple backend, full-stack, frontend and AI-focused categories.

This role supports a large-scale technology hiring initiative for a major global financial services organization , working through a leading professional services firm. The program includes significant hiring across Java engineering, full-stack development and emerging AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical depth across Java, Angular, React and GenAI , along with the experience and confidence to evaluate senior-level developers in a structured technical interview.

Engagement

• Fully remote
• Part-time contract
• Up to 20 hours per week, as needed
• Will be added to the technical interview panel

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development / engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java
• Strong knowledge of Java backend development, APIs and microservices
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Angular and React
• Experience with full-stack Java application development
• Hands-on exposure to GenAI / LLM technologies
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration and application design
• Experience conducting technical interviews, technical assessments, or evaluating senior developers
• Ability to assess coding ability, technical depth, problem-solving and overall suitability across different Java profiles

Interview Coverage

The interviewer should be capable of screening candidates across all eight categories:

• Java Backend
• Java + Angular Full Stack
• Java + React Full Stack
• Java + Angular + React Full Stack
• Java + Spark
• React Developer
• Angular Developer
• Java + AI

AI / GenAI Knowledge

The interviewer should be comfortable assessing candidates on areas such as:

• LLMs and GenAI application development
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• AI integration with Java applications and services
• Agentic AI / multi-agent concepts
• APIs and microservices supporting AI-enabled applications
• Spring AI, LangChain4j or similar Java AI frameworks would be an asset

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will have a discussion with an internal technical team member to validate their technical breadth and interviewing capability. This discussion will serve as the final interview to confirm suitability for the technical interview panel.

Summary

We need a senior, technically strong interviewer who can confidently assess experienced candidates across the full Java ecosystem—from backend and full-stack development through Angular, React, Spark and GenAI.
