A leading global innovation and transformation consultancy is expanding its technology practice and is looking to hire experienced Technical Leads to join its London-based team.
This is an exciting opportunity for engineering leaders who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, mentoring high-performing teams, and delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions. They're particularly interested in candidates with strong engineering fundamentals who also have experience working with modern data platforms and AI-enabled software engineering practices.
What you'll be doing as a Technical Lead- Leading the technical delivery of complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions
- Acting as the technical authority across architecture, engineering, solution design and delivery
- Providing hands-on technical leadership while mentoring engineering teams and promoting engineering best practices
- Working closely with clients to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
- Driving continuous improvement across the full software delivery lifecycle
- Championing modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted software development, automation and productivity improvements
- Supporting the delivery of data-intensive platforms and enterprise technology solutions
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with leadership responsibilities
- Strong software engineering and system design background
- Experience delivering enterprise applications using AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong engineering experience with technologies such as Python, SQL, Java, .NET or JavaScript
- Experience working with modern enterprise data technologies such as Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Good understanding of enterprise data platforms, data architecture, on-premise lakehouse architectures and enterprise systems
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and modern testing practices
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience adopting AI tools within software engineering environments to improve delivery, quality and developer productivity
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client-facing skills
They're particularly keen to speak with candidates from private sector organisations with strong engineering cultures, including fintech and similar technology-driven businesses.
Please note this is not a pure data engineering role. Successful candidates will combine strong software engineering leadership with exposure to enterprise data platforms and modern engineering practices.
