Overview

As Technical Lead in the Engineering Excellence & Productivity team, you will guide developer platforms to speed onboarding, improve delivery cadence, and modernise tooling while ensuring security by design. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to enhance developer experience and capacity, enabling rapid building on chosen cloud platforms. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural oversight to drive scalable, secure solutions that support LSEG’s mission and transformation. You’ll influence tooling, processes, and standards across the platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable software and infrastructure solutions that meet non-functional requirements
  • Lead and contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub)
  • Assist with security-focused tooling (code/binary scanning, secrets management) and DevSecOps practices
  • Guide architecture decisions, design methodologies, and SDLC tooling across builds, tests, and deployments
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure patching and reliability
  • Coordinate disaster recovery activities with the DevOps capability team
  • Engage with global teams and stakeholders to manage incidents, changes, and service delivery
  • Develop and maintain knowledge articles and documentation for supported systems
  • Support Epics and implementation tasks, adapting patterns for robust solutions
  • Promote DevOps culture, agile practices, and effective communication across teams

  • Code/binary scanning tools (SonarQube, Semgrep, Blackduck, Trivy, GitLeaks, Veracode)
  • Secrets management (Vault, cloud-native solutions)
  • SDLC tools (Maven, Gradle, Selenium, Ansible)
  • Source code management (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
  • Artifact/dependency management (JFrog, Nexus)
  • Containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker, Kaniko)
  • Programming languages (Java/JavaScript/C#/Python)
  • Scripting languages (Terraform, Bash, Ansible)
  • Software engineering fundamentals (DRY, trunk-based development)
  • Developer Desktops and tooling
  • Gen AI concepts (GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, Q developer)
  • Project delivery/coordination or support
  • Software development, business/technical analysis, QA or governance
