Design scalable backend services with Python, Go, or Java for Splunk Cloud from a remote Canada role aligned to Pacific Time.

As Cisco’s Technical Leader, Software Development, you will guide technical execution for Splunk’s ingest monitoring platform. Build cloud applications, APIs, and distributed systems supporting varied data volumes. Shape monitoring, diagnostics, integrations, and AI-powered capabilities with engineers, managers, architects, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable backend services and APIs on Splunk Cloud Platform
  • Define solutions and resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Develop monitoring, diagnostics, remediation, and AI-powered capabilities
  • Build integrations involving metrics, events, logs, and traces
  • Troubleshoot incidents and participate in scheduled 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and eight-plus years of software engineering experience
  • Public cloud backend development and operations experience
  • Scalable distributed systems architecture experience
  • Backend applications, services, or APIs using Python, Go, or Java
  • Technical leadership in system design and delivery
