Technical Lead - Complex Trials

You will lead technically complex defence trials, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept to execution. In Bristol, you’ll work with MOD, DE&S and partners on air and land systems to deliver evidence and reduce risk for critical capability decisions. The role combines technical governance with live trial delivery, offering exposure to cutting-edge defence technologies and international travel. You’ll shape trial strategies, coordinate inputs, and ensure impactful, operational outcomes.

• Provide leadership and technical governance to deliver Trials per Trials Process and Systems Engineering principles
• Define trial objectives, requirements and success criteria
• Develop trial strategies and execution plans
• Coordinate technical inputs from multiple disciplines
• Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies and constraints
• Produce and review Trial documentation and evidence
• Lead technical reviews and readiness activities
• Deploy to ranges and customer sites
• Coordinate technical teams, range staff and customers
• Lead live Trial events and demonstrations
• Manage issues and maintain momentum during execution
