Technical Operations Engineer

In this role you will operate Oracle Cloud production environments, ensuring high availability and performance for government-focused workloads. You will handle production systems and databases, learn new cloud solutions, and provide escalation support across complex incidents. You’ll work with a security-conscious, mission-driven team in Northern Ireland on critical cloud operations and standardization initiatives. This is a hands-on role that combines technical, administrative, and analytical work to sustain reliable cloud services.

• Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize production server hardware and software
• Provide escalated technical support for complex issues, including leading problem management cases and providing status updates
• Coordinate escalated support cases with internal resources and/or third-party vendors to resolve storage and appliance-related issues
• Maintain Oracle production environments; assist with OS and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching; drive hardware/software standardization projects
• Provide on-call support on a rotating basis

• Security clearance may be required for government projects
• Experience with Linux System Administration, Kubernetes, Cloud, Exadata, Networking, Database, Storage, Compute, Virtualization and Troubleshooting
• Experience participating in or running incident bridges
• Customer focus and passion for delivering customer satisfaction
• Experience in cloud technical support, operations, incident management is preferred but not required
• Ability to quickly learn new technical disciplines
