Overview
In this role you will support and evolve our real-time trading infrastructure, focusing on Linux and Python-driven automation to maximize uptime and performance. You will partner with traders, developers, and technologists in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to improve system reliability and efficiency. The role combines hands-on operational work with thoughtful automation and on-call responsiveness to production issues. This position offers exposure to high-frequency trading tech and a culture of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities- Maintain and monitor electronic trading systems with emphasis on performance and availability
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance trading system functionality and reliability
- Design and implement automation tools to reduce manual effort across infrastructure processes
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning networking, custom apps, and hardware
- Execute infrastructure changes within a global change-management framework
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 production coverage
- Coordinate with multiple teams to align operations with business needs
- Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
- Python scripting for automation and tooling
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, UDP, multicast)
- Experience supporting mission-critical, low-latency production systems
- Clear communication with technical and trading teams
