Overview
In this IT Operations Engineer role, you support a high-demand trading environment across Windows, Linux, macOS and mobile devices. You will own device builds, system administration, and automation to reduce manual work, while collaborating with infrastructure, security and engineering teams. Your work directly enables traders and engineers to operate efficiently with reliable platforms. The role combines hands-on tech with clear communication and ownership in a fast-paced business.
Responsibilities- Support traders, engineers and business users across Windows, Linux and macOS
- Build, configure and maintain laptops, desktops and servers
- Administer Windows environments including Active Directory and Group Policy
- Troubleshoot device management issues across macOS, iOS and Android
- Support business-critical applications and internal platforms
- Monitor systems and respond to technical issues
- Write scripts and automations to reduce manual work
- Collaborate on improvement projects with infrastructure, security and engineering teams
- Document fixes, processes and recurring issues
- Strong Windows desktop and server administration experience
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows tooling
- Comfortable supporting macOS, Linux and mobile devices
- Exposure to MDM platforms such as Jamf, Workspace ONE or similar
- Strong PowerShell experience is a key requirement
- Bash or Python scripting useful
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm approach under pressure
