Technical Operations Manager, Sovereign Operations
Overview
In this role you guide a multidisciplinary team responsible for secure, private cloud deployments and operations. You will own platform reliability, incident response, and automation to reduce toil while collaborating with product, development, and vendor teams. You help customers onboard and align technical and non-technical needs with enterprise infrastructure. This position blends hands-on engineering leadership with strategic planning to scale high-security cloud solutions for critical clients.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor infrastructure, systems, and networks engineers to design and execute enterprise architectures
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of air-gapped cloud solutions
- Serve as senior technical point of contact during incidents, troubleshooting Linux/OS, hypervisors, and networking
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to escalate issues and advocate for operator needs
- Act as primary contact for customers during onboarding and integration of requirements
- Drive automated platform operations, provisioning, and monitoring to maximize availability and reduce toil
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with Linux/operating systems architecture, compute infrastructure, and enterprise cloud environments
- 5 years of experience leading technical engineering teams in live production or operational environments
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise infrastructure
- Active or able to obtain DV UK security clearance
