Overview

In this Technical Product Owner role within the CIO function, you drive the delivery of technology products that create tangible business value. You collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to shape strategy and prioritise outcomes aligned to customer and business needs. You navigate ambiguity, explore new technologies, and push for scalable, secure solutions that enhance customer engagement. You will work across technology and business teams to balance value with risk and delivery realities, contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog to focus on high-value opportunities and outcomes
  • Collaborate with senior Technology and business stakeholders to define strategy and align delivery with enterprise objectives
  • Lead evaluation and delivery of innovative technology solutions, including emerging capabilities
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, security and risk teams to deliver scalable, secure technology products
  • Balance value, risk, cost and delivery considerations, making informed trade-offs
  • Measure product success via adoption, business outcomes and realised benefits, driving continuous improvement and future innovation
Key requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or similar technology leadership role
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to challenge senior leaders constructively
  • Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams and creating alignment across multiple business and technology functions
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies with interest in automation, data and AI-enabled solutions creating business value
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset balancing customer value, risk, governance and delivery priorities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and decision-making skills in complex environments
