Overview

As Technical Product Owner, you define and drive the product vision for our Business Data Platform, aligning it with broader banking objectives. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into data-driven features and manage the product backlog to maximize value. You lead agile ceremonies, refine user stories, and ensure delivery teams understand acceptance criteria and business impact. You influence stakeholders, monitor performance with KPIs, and iterate the roadmap to meet evolving customer and regulatory demands. Responsibilities
  • Align product features with business goals and strategy
  • Communicate the product vision to delivery teams
  • Create and refine clear user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros)
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for maximum value
  • Act as voice of the customer by gathering feedback
  • Define and manage acceptance criteria and validate delivered work
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align requirements with objectives
  • Monitor product performance using KPIs and iterate the roadmap
  • Oversee readiness and run activities for live products, including governance
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring alignment with control functions
  • Provide guidance on complex issues and support decision-making
  • Demonstrate Barclays values and leadership behaviors
Key requirements
  • Balanced focus on functionality and user experience
  • Strong data analysis knowledge (data mapping/architecture)
  • Solid Agile experience
  • Experience in product management (strategy, roadmap, delivery)
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence; cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Experience in business analysis or process improvement
  • Background in financial services or regulated environments
  • MI/BI tools and data visualization experience
  • Technical background or experience in technology teams
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts
