Overview

In this role you own the Account Services Platform (ASP) vision and roadmap, guiding modernisation while balancing regulatory and risk needs. You translate business needs into technical outcomes and align cross-functional teams across the UK and South Africa. You drive risky, data-driven migrations and ensure delivery at scale through agile practices. You will collaborate to shape the platform and enable meaningful client outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own and communicate the product vision, roadmap and objectives for the Account Services Platform
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements, epics, features and user stories using analysis techniques
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog based on value, regulatory criticality and risk reduction
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint reviews and planning with multidisciplinary teams UK & South Africa
  • Act as technical representative for platform, explaining APIs, events and dependencies to stakeholders
  • Define and deliver account migration approach including data-quality remediation, reconciliation and post-migration validation
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, architecture and data teams, and engage vendors for new capabilities
  • Champion agile delivery and DevSecOps practices and use delivery metrics to maintain momentum
Key requirements
  • Significant experience delivering technical product ownership or business analysis in banking across core banking, payments, cards, current accounts, savings or cash-management
  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into technically clear, delivery-ready requirements and user stories
  • Practical experience of sequence visualization, system-flow modelling and data modelling
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, APIs and API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
  • Experience owning and prioritising a technical product backlog with balanced short-term and long-term objectives
  • Ability to explain complex technology and domain topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Confidence influencing across engineering, architecture, operations, risk and compliance
