Technical Product Owner Level 2

In this Technical Product Owner role, you help shape the Maritime portfolio by aligning engineering work with customer and regulatory needs. You act as the backbone of the squad, ensuring clear priorities, robust requirements, and steady delivery. You collaborate with Product Managers to keep delivery aligned with business goals while improving AI-assisted processes and artefacts. This is an opportunity to influence safety, compliance and operational performance across a highly regulated domain. You will work with cross-functional teams in a flexible, hybrid setup within the UK.

• Own backlog quality and sprint readiness to enable delivery against priorities
• Refine requirements and acceptance criteria for clear work guidance
• Lead sprint ceremonies to maintain momentum and transparency
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align with customer and business objectives
• Review AI-generated user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery artefacts for quality
• Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies and blockers
• Support continuous improvement to enhance squad performance and delivery
• Share knowledge and mentor junior Product Owners where appropriate

• Experience supporting agile software development teams with backlog management and sprint planning
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product delivery best practices
• Ability to create clear, structured requirements for engineers
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in complex delivery environments
• Confidence assessing and improving AI-assisted delivery processes and documentation
• Experience in SaaS, maritime technology or regulated software environments (beneficial)
