Overview

As a senior leader in Bilfinger UK, you will steer the Business Unit’s service delivery across integrated and specialist lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations. You’ll drive technical governance, operational excellence, and digital transformation while maintaining high health, safety, quality and customer standards. The role shapes growth through strong customer relationships, tender support, and strategic improvements, building a high-performing culture that delivers sustainable value. This is a chance to lead multi-discipline teams across onshore and offshore services in a respected global group.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage service delivery across operational support departments to ensure safe, high-quality execution
  • Oversee technical delivery of long-term service contracts across integrated and standalone lines
  • Manage specialist services (industrial cleaning, door maintenance, habitats, etc.)
  • Drive operational excellence via performance management and continuous improvement
  • Maintain safety leadership and environmental compliance at the highest standards
  • Maintain 30–40% of time on direct customer interface for allocated accounts
  • Lead and model safety behaviour across the business
  • Lead technical authorities and maintain core operational processes and project standards
  • Promote innovation, best practices, and technical standards across the unit
  • Develop digitalisation strategies and adopt hardware/software solutions to boost efficiency
  • Support tendering activities with technical submissions and cost estimation
  • Monitor and optimize financial performance of contracts
  • Prepare operational performance reports, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
  • Develop growth strategies, secure new business, and manage key customer relationships
  • Oversee stores and logistics operations in Aberdeen and optimize resource usage
  • Control overhead costs and produce monthly cost/risks reports
  • Provide leadership and coaching to operational teams and foster collaboration across functions
Key requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing multi-discipline operational teams and long-term service contracts
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of offshore/onshore service delivery in industrial maintenance
  • Chartered Engineer/PM accreditation or IOSH/NEBOSH desirable
  • Proven ability in strategic/operational leadership, safety, quality, and commercial management
