Technical Specialist

Overview

As a Technical Specialist you will perform custom development and provide technical implementation support for InterSystems healthcare applications. You will deliver site-specific software work, ensuring alignment with project requirements and successful deployment. Travel to client sites and partner locations is expected for technical support and training. You will collaborate with clients, analysts, and PMs to manage enhancements, issues, and training materials, shaping how healthcare data tools are used in practice.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients or business analysts on enhancement requests and reporting needs
• Advise and assist Project Managers during implementation
• Resolve outstanding acceptance issues before/after go-live
• Develop and support software customizations (JavaScript, interfaces, reports, data migration, upgrades)
• Provide troubleshooting and performance analysis support for related areas
• Test and support InterSystems utilities (e.g., patching tool, print service)
• Create technical training materials and documentation (installation guides, knowledge bases)
• Participate in on-site technical training and implementations
• Contribute to 24-hour extended support service

• Knowledge of web languages including HTML and JavaScript
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and database methodologies
• Ability to design and write technical documents
• Familiarity with Internet/Intranet concepts
• Strong client-focused interaction and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead and deliver results within timeframes
• Willingness to travel and work outside office hours
