In this role you will own and evolve the systems engineering tooling landscape at McLaren Automotive, shaping the roadmap for requirements capture, analysis, workflow automation and AI-enabled improvements. You will develop and maintain integrated toolchains to enhance traceability, testability and delivery quality, while enabling Jama-based ways of working across the business. You’ll train and support users, driving continuous improvement and governance of engineering artifacts. This is a hands-on position with impact across engineering and programmes.

- Develop, configure and maintain core toolchains to enable traceable, testable engineering outputs
- Identify and implement workflow improvements through automation and fit-for-purpose tooling
- Support Jama users with onboarding, training materials and ongoing guidance
- Maintain governance, standards and data discipline across tools, templates and workflows
- Experience with systems engineering tools and requirements management platforms
- Strong understanding of requirements traceability and artefact delivery
- Hands-on experience configuring and improving integrated toolchains
- Experience supporting Jama users through onboarding and training
- Hands-on software development with Python, Java and C++, plus distributed systems knowledge
- Ability to translate business needs into tooling or workflow enhancements
- Awareness of AI capabilities and their appropriate application in engineering processes
