In this role you will support the Biological Heritage Sites (Lancashire's County Wildlife Sites) system and assist the ecologists with data management, administration and stakeholder engagement. You will gain insight into ecological practices, land management, and conservation efforts in Lancashire. The position offers a chance to contribute to nature recovery through hands-on data work and collaboration with a range of partners. You will work within the BHS team and contribute to environmental records and site surveys.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update the Biological Heritage Sites (BHS) system
- Support the work of BHS ecologists
- Manage data and GIS-related tasks
- Assist with rolling programme of site surveys
- Provide land management advice and information on grants and support
- Engage with a range of organisations and individuals
- Contribute to the environmental records management within LERN
