Overview
In this role you join a London-based Technology & Digital Regulation practice to handle data protection, digital regulation and technology contracts for clients in tech, media and creative sectors. You will work with partners and senior lawyers across GDPR, AI, adtech and platform regulation, gaining exposure to fast-evolving regulatory regimes. The role offers ownership of matters, direct client interaction and opportunities to contribute to marketing and business development. This is a chance to shape regulatory advisory for innovative businesses within a supportive, entrepreneurial firm culture.
Responsibilities- Data protection, GDPR and privacy projects
- Digital regulation work (DSA, Online Safety Act, EU AI Act)
- Software licensing, SaaS and technology agreements
- AI, adtech, ePrivacy and advertising regulation
- Commercial contracts including development, distribution and support agreements
- Own matters, negotiate with counterparties, advise clients on product and technology strategy
- Support marketing and business development within the team
- 2-4 years' PQE, qualified in England & Wales, New York or California for London-based candidates
- Experience in data protection/privacy, digital regulation and/or commercial technology
- Exposure to software licensing, SaaS or technology contracts
- GDPR experience; keen to develop expertise in UK/EU digital regulation
- Interest in AI, adtech, ePrivacy and advertising regulation
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills
- Organised and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
