Technology Product Owner

Overview

In this role you will own Jira backlogs and prioritize work to align with product roadmaps while collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams. You translate complex problems into clear requirements and backlog items, ensuring delivery respects value, dependencies and capacity within Agile teams. You’ll shape data-driven solutions with engineers, architects, and analysts and navigate governance, risk, and compliance in a complex, multi-team environment. Responsibilities

• Own Jira backlogs, user stories, and sprint priorities
• Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to execute the product roadmap
• Gather and prioritise requirements based on business value and feasibility
• Develop and implement assessments to improve product quality and performance
• Monitor product performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Stay current with industry tech trends to improve delivery
• Communicate roadmaps and decisions to stakeholders and delivery teams
• Translate business problems into clear requirements and backlog items
• Navigate governance, risk, and compliance considerations in delivery
• Engage with engineers, architects, and analysts to shape technical solutions

• Hands-on Jira backlog ownership
• Experience contributing to product roadmaps and delivery plans
• Ability to prioritise based on value, dependencies, and sprint capacity
• Practical experience in Agile delivery
• Strong communication with business stakeholders
• Proven ability to translate problems into requirements and backlog items
• Experience working through change impacts with business and delivery teams
• Working knowledge of Data Platforms and Analytics environments
• Ability to engage effectively with engineers, architects, and analysts
• Understanding of how data is consumed by the business and translating this into delivery needs
