In this role you will contribute to Liberty Global’s technology strategy by evaluating emerging tech and shaping large investment cases. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and external experts to produce techno-economic analyses and options at concept stages, influencing multi-year capital decisions. You will help translate complex tech concepts into clear guidance for product and strategy stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed technology strategy assessments
- Guide evaluation of disruptive technologies for long-range plans
- Produce high-quality research on strategic innovations and technologies
- Create communications material for technical and non-technical audiences
- Develop techno-economic analyses to compare technology choices
- Support diligence for venture targets via coordinating technology experts
- Engage internal/external subject matter experts to support assessments
- Collaborate with external orgs and academic institutions to discover emerging tech
- Provide insights to partners to inform mid-to-long term planning
- Deliver analyses to underpin technology choices in product and technology roadmaps
Key requirements
- Experience using consulting skills to evaluate technology/investment options to inform strategy
- Deep knowledge and strategy experience in at least one technical field with cross-technology applicability
- Strong understanding of the economics of related architectures/technologies
- Comfortable deriving insights from data with analytical rigor
- Objective and strategic problem solving
