Technology Systems Specialist - ICT/ELV

In this role, you will design and lead ELV systems (ICT, AV, security, cabling) for large-scale projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, construction-ready design packages. You will drive project outcomes from planning through construction support, aligning with industry standards and BIM workflows. This role sits within Arcadis Digital X, focusing on high‑level technology design for hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. • Lead ICT and structured cabling design for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical projects from planning through detailed design and construction support
• Develop design criteria, narratives, layouts, and construction documentation for telecom rooms, equipment rooms, backbone distribution, cabling pathways and trays
• Create written system specifications and narratives in EN/ISO/IEC formats and MasterFormat templates (Division 27/28, Division 25 desirable)
• Collaborate with Revit/CAD teams to produce technical designs and drawings, including floor plans, elevations and installation details
• Use Navisworks to resolve clashes and coordinate models across disciplines
• Review drawings and specs to guide engineering documentation
• Evaluate available technology equipment for suitable design implementation
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and architectural consultants for integrated designs
• Attend and lead design meetings and workshops with clients and teams
• Develop budget estimates and provide construction-phase administration as required
• Support business development, client relations, and proposal technical approaches
• Coordinate and train junior team members
• Possibly support projects across geographic locations and time zones

• Minimum 5 years’ ELV systems design and installation experience on large-scale industrial/commercial projects
• Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center programs
• Background in mission-critical facility design beyond cabling
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model-based design workflows
• RCDD certification (DCDC preferred)
• Engineering/Architectural/Construction Industry experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiarity with remote task assignment software and agile sprint environments
• Ability to work across locations and time zones
• Experience with Visio, Bluebeam, CAD (AutoCAD and/or Revit) and other markup tools
• Ability to operate with remote enabling technologies (Teams, Webex, Zoom)
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and a proactive, flexible mindset
• Knowledge of systems: Structured Cabling, network/server architecture, Wi‑Fi, DAS, CCTV/Access Control, BMS, Building IoT
