Tekla Structures Plugin Developer

Build Tekla Structures plugins and desktop tools with steel-industry knowledge at JMT Consultants, based in Winnipeg or remotely by consideration.

This Software Developer role combines C#/.NET development with practical detailing, fabrication, and erection experience. You will work with engineering specialists, developers, QA, and the Technical Product Manager. Your work turns approved requirements into production-ready behaviour for steel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, debug, and maintain Tekla detailing plugins
• Implement rules for connections, members, geometry, and tolerances
• Preserve model identifiers, profiles, assemblies, and statuses
• Support automated and regression testing with QA
• Resolve defects across plugins, integrations, and web applications

Requirements:

• Five or more years developing professional software with C#/.NET
• Five or more years detailing or fabricating steel
• Strong hands-on Tekla Structures or SDS2 experience
• Understanding of structural engineering and connection design
• Knowledge of AISC 360 and applicable OSHA erection requirements
