Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Accounting

Department of Accounting and Business Analytics in the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, invites applications for a full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Accounting. Up to 2 appointments may be filled. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027.

For an appointment at the Assistant Professor level, candidates must have, or be close to completing, a PhD in an Accounting field, with demonstrated potential to publish top-level research and achieve teaching excellence; appointment in the latter case will be contingent upon the completion of the PhD by an agreed-upon date. Appointments at a more senior level (Associate or Full Professor) may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. For an associate/full professor appointment, we require a reputation for making high quality contributions to top accounting journals and evidence of teaching excellence.
