Test Automation Developer – 4 months Internship/Coop

• Develop automated tests and contribute to evolving testing practices
• Analyze and resolve problems using automated testing techniques including Selenium, Cucumber, and JMeter
• Work in a complex microservices-based billing architecture for property and casualty insurance
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Groovy and Cucumber
• Perform manual testing across various environments
• Design, create, and manage test cases in Zephyr and link them with Jira tickets
• Execute automated and manual tests
• Analyze test results and report issues with clear documentation
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve defects
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and automation frameworks
• Collaborate with development teams to coordinate and resolve technical issues
• Design, code, and test new features for quality and performance
• Apply design patterns, Scrum, and software development life cycle knowledge
• Perform automated testing across frontend and backend components

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a university degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, during the Winter Term 2027 (January to April)
• Must be an active student during the internship and/or returning to school in Summer or Fall 2027
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Proactive, curious, and eager-to-learn attitude
• Excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated and fast-learning attitude
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required to interact with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
• ReadyAPI, Java, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, REST and SOAP knowledge, Cypress, Selenium, Agile/Scrum, Groovy, Cucumber, Zephyr, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
