Test Consultant

In this Test Consultant role at CGI, you will help clients deliver high-quality solutions using automation, AI-enabled testing, and evolving quality practices. You’ll work across diverse projects and industries, applying testing expertise to new challenges and shaping test strategies. You’ll own testing activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive continuous quality improvements. • Plan, design and execute testing activities across various client engagements, adapting to changing needs and environments
• Develop, maintain and enhance automated testing solutions using appropriate tools and frameworks
• Stay curious about emerging testing technologies, including AI-assisted testing and intelligent automation
• Collaborate with developers, architects, stakeholders and testers to embed quality throughout delivery
• Take ownership of testing outcomes, identify risks, and recommend improvements for quality
• Contribute to CGI’s testing community by sharing knowledge and mentoring
• Work across different projects, industries and technology stacks to develop new skills and respond to changing client demands

• Proven experience in software testing with knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC
• Hands-on automation experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar
• Programming or scripting experience in Java, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, or willingness to develop
• Ability to adapt between projects, environments and testing approaches
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and commitment to continuous learning
• Comfort leading own work while collaborating in a supportive team
• Understanding of Agile delivery and CI/CD pipelines and testing contributions
• Analytical mindset to identify risks and propose practical solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
• Interest in AI-assisted testing; practical experience is advantageous but not essential
• Exposure to performance, security, API, cloud or other testing disciplines is beneficial
• ISTQB certification or equivalent experience is desirable
