Test Engineer

About the role Our cleint designs and builds (products, e.g. automotive systems / industrial equipment). We need a Test Engineer to plan and run the tests that prove our products are safe, reliable and ready for customers.

What you will do

• Plan and run tests on components, prototypes and finished products
• Set up test rigs, instruments and data logging equipment
• Analyse results and write clear test reports
• Find the cause of failures and work with design teams on fixes
• Write and update test procedures
• Keep test equipment calibrated and the lab safe and organised

What you need

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in a test, validation or development engineering role
• Hands-on experience with test equipment, sensors and data acquisition
• Able to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Clear report writing and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Environmental or durability testing experience (vibration, thermal, fatigue)
• Experience with test standards such as ISO 17025
• Data analysis skills in Excel, MATLAB or similar
