Test Engineer - Modules

In this role you will lead test strategy and verification for next-generation electronic modules within Microchip’s Advanced Packaging team. You will work with a cross-functional group to translate requirements into clear specifications and develop bespoke rack & stack systems that integrate hardware and software. You’ll drive validation activities, analyze data, and communicate performance to a multidisciplinary audience, enabling continual improvement and robust product quality. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position in a global, innovation-focused environment.

• Formulate test strategies aligned with lean product verification goals
• Interpret customer requirements to derive clear specifications
• Develop bespoke rack & stack systems (hardware and software)
• Facilitate team-based risk management (FMEA and compliance reviews)
• Plan and execute product verification and validation activities
• Analyze test data against application requirements
• Articulate product performance to a multi-disciplinary group
• Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
• Identify and drive continual improvement projects
• Apply disciplined problem solving
• Support in-house training programs
• Travel internationally as needed

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• 7+ years’ experience in a concurrent engineering environment
• Proven project management abilities (scheduling, contingency planning, budget tracking, expediting)
• Microcontroller experience desirable (PIC16 and PIC32)
• Embedded C microcontroller protocols UART, SPI, I2C
• Experience developing test routines using LabVIEW and TestStand desirable
• Use of National Instruments racking systems desirable
• Experience of Visual C# application development desirable
• Circuit design and PCB layout using Altium
