Test Engineer - Systems Integration & Interoperability

In this role you will deliver hands-on testing support for the OpNET FMN Spiral 6 DCI pilot within a secure defence environment. You will design, execute and report verification, validation and interoperability tests across infrastructure, security, identity and information exchange components. You’ll contribute to the V&V plan, manage defects and evidence, and collaborate with architects and security specialists to ensure compliant, validated solutions. This position offers impact at the system level, helping to achieve secure, data-centric interoperability across sensitive domains.

• Develop, maintain and execute test scripts for FMN Spiral 6 DCI verification and acceptance
• Support development and execution of the Validation and Verification plan
• Create functional, non-functional, integration, interoperability and regression tests
• Conduct tests across infrastructure, security, identity, policy enforcement and interoperability
• Perform interoperability testing between OpNET, partner systems and FMN-aligned services
• Validate coalition information sharing, auditability and traceability requirements
• Test FIAM, PKI and trust services
• Produce and maintain test documentation (plans, scripts, procedures, evidence packs, defect reports, test reports)
• Capture, manage and report defects with root cause analysis
• Assist installation and validation of test and demonstration environments
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and security specialists for integration and validation
• Record test evidence for assurance, compliance and audits
• Support compliance validation activities and demonstrations
• Document test outcomes and lessons learned; support continuous process improvement
• Deliver testing in line with timelines, quality standards and security requirements
• Provide support for Live Ops as needed

• Strong experience in test engineering (planning, scripting, execution and reporting)
• Experience producing test documentation (plans, scripts, procedures, defect reports, evidence packs)
• Functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing experience
• Experience supporting validation and acceptance in complex enterprise or infrastructure environments
• Understanding of systems integration testing and end-to-end service validation
• Experience testing infrastructure, networking, security or identity management solutions
• Knowledge of IAM concepts (authentication, authorization, RBAC)
• Understanding of PKI, digital certificates and certificate-based trust
• Experience testing in secure or regulated environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work to timelines
• Experience in Agile or structured delivery environments
• Competency in MS Office Suite
