Test Environment Manager

In this role you will own and drive test environment strategy to support a large-scale transformation from a legacy monolithic setup to a microservices-based architecture. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and squads to ensure environments meet microservices needs while also supporting the legacy landscape. You will provisioning, managing, and decommissioning environments and integrating them with CI/CD, enabling automated testing and on-demand delivery. This position combines hands-on OpenShift/Kafka work with ongoing environment optimization and stakeholder communication, contributing to a stable, scalable test platform that underpins the transformation.

• Define and execute a comprehensive test environment strategy aligned with the transformation program
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and squads to meet microservices requirements
• Transform environments from permanent waterfall to on-demand agile for squads
• Provision, design, configure, maintain, and decommission test and prod environments (OpenShift/Kafka)
• Manage environment configurations, dependencies, and integration points; plan and schedule environments for projects
• Hands-on support for OpenShift/Kafka environments and legacy systems
• Provide ongoing support to squads and troubleshoot environment issues
• Serve as liaison between development, QA, and support teams
• Implement and maintain automated environment provisioning using IaC
• Integrate test environments with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and continuous delivery
• Monitor environment performance and usage; develop metrics and dashboards
• Collaborate with developers, QA and operations to understand requirements; communicate status and changes
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and stay updated on best practices

• 5+ years managing test environments in a complex enterprise setting
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift/Linux platforms
• Extensive microservices experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka (hands-on)
• Cloud experience (Azure) and IaC tools (Ansible)
• Experience in Infrastructure projects on HP Non-Stop, Linux, and Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on OpenShift setup and Kafka environments
• Scripting and automation knowledge (Java, Cucumber, UFT, Linux shell)
• Strong CI/CD knowledge (Jenkins, GitLab, ADS)
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Knowledge of UFT, Selenium, Azure DevOps
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
